Inn on the Hill 2017 Vacation Planner

Here are a few recent suggestions recommended by some of our guests to help plan your time in the
Lake George region:

OUTDOORS: For everyone but especially the children: the FLOATING CLASSROOM on board the Rosalia Anna Ashby. This hands-on boat adventure is organized by the Lake George Association. Learn about beautiful Lake George. Bring your BICYCLES note the Centurion Cycling weekend June 22-24, the first ever to take place in Lake George. There’s so much more to do here so take a look at the websites we’ve listed at the bottom of this page.

CIRCUS: The Big Apple Circus is coming – another first for Lake George! Starts on July 14 for a two week run. Keep an eye on their website for ticket and schedule information www.biapplecircus.org. This is a traditional circus with so many fabulous performers including the GRANDMA aka Barry Lubin who was inducted into the International Clown Hall of Fame in Baraboo, Wisconsin.

BREWERY: Our local favorite, the ADIRONDACK PUB &BREWERY is expanding its brewing capacity. All kinds of new beer will be available together with the already delicious food. Good to see a new local business doing so well.

LEARN TO MAKE SOMETHING: The ADIRONDACK FOLK SCHOOL in nearby Lake Lucerne has a huge variety of workshops and classes for learning everything from baking to blacksmithing! It’s not far, very reasonable and has a fabulous reputation. Instructors come from all over the country. Check it out at www.adirondackfolkschool.org.

SARATOGA THOROUGHBRED RACING: The track opens slightly earlier this year on Friday, July 20 and  runs through Labor Day – some 40 days of the finest racing anywhere in the country.

LAKE GEORGE MUSIC FESTIVAL: In its second year, the LGMF performs from August 17-23 around various venues in Lake George. Daily open rehearsals and free public concerts available to everyone! Go towww.lakegeorgemusicfestival.com for performances, programs and details.

PEDICABS: Yes, that’s right … a new business comes to Lake George. One of the oldest modes of transport known to man. What fun and good for the environment too. They’ll be operating in and around the immediate area.
